It's been about 10 months since I've been on my Relaxed Hair journey and it's been quite a ride. I love being relaxed and taking care of my hair's so much fun. Despite all of the bashing that relaxed hair gets, I prefer it over natural hair any day. I've learned that on this journey of healthy relaxed hair it's important to "stretch" my relaxers. Once I hit the five weeks post relaxer the naps come runnin'. Therefore, God be a edge control to keep my edges smooth and slick.
The best edge control I've tried so far has been The Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla edge control pomade.
Why it wins? No flaking, no crunchy hold and my hair doesn't feel brittle. If needed and I can easily adjust my hair without the breakage. It's like I'm not even trying to slick them down because I hate that look of " Girl, all I see on your edges is gel."
